Dnepropetrovsk region located in the south-eastern part of central Ukraine, by the area extension and population Dnipropetrovsk region ranks as second among the regions of Ukraine. Dnipropetrovsk region holds a leading position by the volume of industrial production and by the level of education institutions development. Dnepropetrovsk region is very rich in natural resources, about 50% of national mineral resources of Ukraine occur on the territory of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Leading industries of the Dnepropetrovsk region are mining of ore minerals and coal, heavy metals industry, also region has well-developed chemical industry and light industry. A significant part of Dnepropetrovsk region economy is agro-industrial sector which includes enterprises of processing and food industries. The region has successfully attracted foreign investments and has a stable surplus on foreign trade operations.
